Poem in Semicursive Script

明倪元璐瞴書《枴畫疗》焈
Ni Yuanlu's calligraphy, like that on Zhang Ruitu, was executed with some sharp strokes. However, the brush movements in Ni's turns are much more rounded, rather than angular, as a result of his holding the brush in the normal upright position. The space between characters and among lines is more relaxed and presents a less restless and more harmonious visual effect. Ni liked the sentiment of tranquil and remote autumn mood, and rewrote the poem below— originally composed for inscribing a painting—for a senior gentleman.
