Object Label

At the time of the earthquake, the Girl’s High School was located on Scott Street between Geary and O’Farrell. Although it suffered severe damage during the earthquake, the school’s grounds were used for a refugee camp. This view shows the north side of the building, along Geary. Damage is visible just below the main roofline of the high school and an American flag flies amid the tents.
