Text EntriesThis bowl with a low-fired, lead-glaze is decorated in the plain three-color (susancai), which appears with two, three, or more enamel colors, but with little or no red or other bright colors, on a monochrome ground. The green-enameled decoration applied on a yellow background, as on this bowl, descended from the Ming dynasty. The interior is glazed in white. The motif of a pair of dragons with two pearls on the exterior was first incised, then colored in green.
