Among the first generation of ink artists trained in the People’s Republic of China, Li Wenhan graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and later served as a professional painter at the Beijing Fine Art Academy. Enjoying travels to famous mountains for inspiration, Li used both traditional ink painting and modern print-making skills to depict fabulous scenes on the vast Chinese land, such as Mount Huang and Mount Emei, often with a lyric, atmospheric look.
