A branch of lotus rhizome with three sections has been ingeniously conceived as the body of a teapot. The top section, which is narrow, becomes the spout, the swollen middle section is the teapot, while the third section shows that it has been sliced, exposing the air channels of the rhizome. The lid is flushed with surface of the rhizome and a snail acts as a knob.
