Not on viewThis almost cylindrical figure, with its simply modeled surface, is typical of works of the Northern Qi dynasty. Pratyeka buddhas are beings who have attained buddhahood for themselves without helping others on their way to salvation. For this reason Pratyeka buddhas are ranked below other kinds of buddhas and bodhisattvas. They are usually seen in altar groups with other Buddhist figures.
